If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime

As ex-president Donald J. Trump sits in a Manhattan courtroom, waiting to go on trial for the alleged crime of falsifying business records to hide the payments he made to porn star Stormy Daniels, he whines. He complains about the democratic conspiracy, he whines that this is a witch hunt, and he cries about being cold. And, like every other criminal defendant , cries out that he is innocent.

Old Age Has It’s Privileges. Sleepy Don naps while in court.

Let’s get this straight Mr. Trump, you are a criminal defendant. You have been arrested, and indicted. And you are presumed innocent until proven guilty, as are thousands of other criminal defendants. Every day in the New York City Criminal Court House at 100 Centre Street hundreds of people sit in the same dank, dark, and cold courthouse pews that you are sitting in. They do not get special treatment, they are facing criminal charges. SO ARE YOU MR. TRUMP! So stop whining about how cold the court house is. They are cold too. Stop whining about having to sit there for hours on end. Hundreds of defendants do too. Many of them also have important jobs that they should be tending to as well. But they got busted and are facing criminal charges just like you. They have to endure the long hours, and the coldness in the air too. So shut up, take it like the winner that you are (sarcasm intended) and be patient, all good things must come to an end, this trial will too.

And just as a reminder,  if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.
