The Greatest Showman of All Time

Many people, especially those in or running for public office, tend to bite their tongue when it comes to how they really view Donald J. Trump. Many in the Republican party Kowtow to him even after he says, and behaves, in the most despicable of ways. Can you wrap you head around an entire religious sector, people that espouse God and morality that actually support Donald Trump? Even after he was heard on national TV telling Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush that he just grabs them by the pussy, and that as a celebrity he can get away with kissing them on the lips and they would not object.

I am not a public official nor am I running for office, but if I were I would still speak the truth. I would challenge the racist, sexist, xenophobic and misogynistic remarks made by Trump or any other person seeking to represent citizens in any community of the United States.

If Donald Trump is allowed to say all those vile things, then I am allowed to quote him, and call him out on it using the exact same words and language. After all, we have a constitutional right to FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Donald Trump has lowered the standards for anyone seeking elected office. Just look at the likes of some of the people that have been elected as a result of Trump’s asinine positions. People like Marjorie Taylor Greene, among others.

But now, Trump has finally voiced his very real sentiments about people of color.

Trump revives his wish that immigrants came from rich White countries – Washington Post

Lets remember all the wonderful White Immigrants that were involved with lynchings, murder, bank robbery, and bootlegging during prohibition.

Trump bemoans lack of immigrants from majority-white countries to the US – The Guardian

Like the millions that escaped starvation and blight during the Great Famine.

There are rotten tomatoes in every barrel, meaning there are “bad hombres” in every race or ethnic group, but the vast majority of them are not rotten. Criminals should be brought to justice no matter the race, gender, or immigration status. But to paint an entire class, race or group as rotten is, well quite Hitleresque.

Many of us so called minorities, and people of color have always known that Donald Trump was a racist. But as I mentioned we are the minority. Our voices are not heard or do not count. In June of 2019, David A. Graham, Adrienne Green, Cullen Murphy, and Parker Richards observed, in The Atlantic that “Trump has assembled a long record of comment on issues involving African Americans as well as Mexicans, Hispanics more broadly, Native Americans, Muslims, Jews, immigrants, women, and people with disabilities. His statements have been reflected in his behavior—from public acts (placing ads calling for the execution of five young black and Latino men accused of rape, who were later shown to be innocent) to private preferences (“When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” a former employee of Trump’s Castle, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, told a writer for The New Yorker). Trump emerged as a political force owing to his full-throated embrace of “birtherism,” the false charge that the nation’s first black president, Barack Obama, was not born in the United States.”

In the 1980’s during Ronald Reagan’s presidency (1981-1989) America’s television networks began to exploit privilege and excess. It started with the airing of the hit television show Dynasty (January 12, 1981 to May 11, 1989). In March 1984 another television show exploiting privilege aired. This one was called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. This was the era that Capitalism reined.

Then after Reagan left office, his vice president George H. Bush was elected president. Life in America changed. It was the beginning of the Crack epidemic. While millions of Americans were becoming addicted to this highly toxic new form of cocaine, others were becoming rich. Crack cocaine destroyed urban America while at the same time many black and brown entrepreneurs got rich. It was a strange time in America.

Music went from “silly love songs” to gangster rap. The lyrics of this new rap music, which was born of, and dominated by, African Americans and to a lessor extent Puerto Ricans on the East Coast and Chicanos on the West Coast, were voicing anger at a system that had historically exploited and stolen from them. Then even in music excess and privilege were being touted. The world had changed.

After George W. Bush lost to William “Bill” Clinton a new era was born. Bill Clinton and Al Gore were seen as two youthful, modern Presidents that inspired hope. It was also the dawning of the age of the Computer. A joke at the time was that Al Gore had invented the internet, of course this was not true but it was apropos for the time. Before the Clinton administration the internet was used mostly by the military. Then a group of colleges and universities decided to share information with each other via a network of computers, thus the internet was born. Still the language of the “net” was just zeros and x’s.

In 1989 Tim Berners-Lee invented the web with a new language called Hypertext Markup Language or html. With html the internet was no longer just zeros and x’s. Suddenly webpages were being created that consisted of color and graphics. Soon motion and audio were included. This is a very simplistic view, and it is only my perspective of what began to happen, but as I saw it the economy began to falter. Suddenly because of the new internet, and all it offered, we began to shift into a digital world. We were entering a new gold rush so to speak, and the technology revolution began. While Bill Gates and Steve Jobs battled for dominance of the computer, because of html new platforms began to emerge; Ebay, Paypal, Google, Amazon, Youtube, and others. These new platforms created new millionaires.

After the Clinton administration, came the George W. Bush era. Bush had been a laughing stock for most of his presidency but emerged as a hero after 9/11. During the early part of his administration excess and a hunger for wealth was everywhere. Everyone wanted to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Still in the hunger for wealth mode, in 2004 a television show aired that promised to give a lucky winner the chance to become an apprentice for Donald Trump. Trump had come to symbolize class and wealth. And this new TV show, The Apprentice was a success. With its adopted theme song “For the Love of Money” by the O’Jays the show captured the imagination of many, especially rappers. Donald Trump had somehow positioned himself as the man to emulate if you wanted to succeed. With Trump’s new pop star status the power brokers of America began to whisper in his ear that he should consider running for President.

Greedy bankers, mortgage loan officers and others in finance created an atmosphere that was ripe for a bust. And bust it did. The housing market crashed and with it the entire American economy. America’s housing crash affected the entire global economy. The world was heading into unprecedented financial hardship. This housing crash was primarily caused by a combination of factors, including the subprime mortgage crisis (greed), high levels of debt (greed), and a lack of regulation in the financial sector (greed).

During the last year of the Bush administration the economy plummeted. People lost their homes, all their savings, and their jobs. And the Bush administration just could not figure it out. Barrack Obama was elected president on a platform of Hope. But during that fretful period – that of the housing crash, a new movement was born called Occupy Wallstreet. This movement laid blame for the collapse of our economy on the Bankers and Wall Street (Stock) Brokers. One of the first things Obama did as president was to bail out the Financial sector. Slowly this began to stabilize the economy. Another movement that was born at this time, a movement that laid blame for America’s ills on the so-called liberals, was the so-called the Tea Party. It is here that America’s current racial divide began.

The allure of the Presidency was too much for Trump to ignore. And he begin to lay the ground work for his run. Unfortunately rather than appealing to the better angels of America he opted, like Darth Vader, to pursue the dark side. Thus began his tirade against Barrack Obama. Trumps birther movement dominated, and in fact took over the Tea Party, and Trump’s cause became a racist rant against Obama. Demanding that he (Obama) show his birth certificate because he was an illegitimate president that in fact was not a born in the United States. His rants and hatred spread like wildfire throughout America and morphed into the MEGA Movement.

Obama, however, had two very successful terms as President, after which Trump decided that he would now run for President. He began by announcing his intent on the escalator of this Trump Tower. Instead of attempting to unify America he decided that he would tear it down. In his declaration for president he blamed the ills of America on Mexican’s and other immigrants. Thus began the America we now live in- divided as never before, almost as bad if not worse than during the time of the Civil War.

As I mentioned above, it is unfortunate that many rappers glorified Trump because of his imagined wealth. Its really a shame because as we are all now witnessing Trump’s wealth is not what he had purported it to be. He had to borrow money to post bail. What is it that they say, The Emperor Has No Cloths. Every modern presidential candidate has always demonstrated their tax returns as an act of good faith, transparency. Yet Donald Trump refused to show his. Since he first decided to run for President he has still refused to show his tax returns. I wonder why?

Donald J. Trump is a racist! I don’t care what anyone says to refute this, my mind will not be changed. His actions, words and deeds have led me to believe this. I will not pretend otherwise. I will never forget the fact that Trump took out a full page ad in the New York Times advocating for the death penalty when five young black and brown men were accused, arrested, and convicted for the heinous crime committed against that young, beautiful white Central Park Jogger. But even after their eventual exoneration Donald J. Trump went on to say something to effect of “well I’m sure that they are still guilty of of something.”

Trump is running for President yet again, and he continues with his racist slurs. About (brown) immigrants he says things like “they are poisoning our blood”

What is mind-boggling is the fact that so many Americans, Religious Leaders and Elected Official’s alike endorse him. Do they hear the same things I hear coming out of his mouth?

He has said things like (and I’m paraphrasing here)
“I will be a dictator the first day in office”. “I will order the largest mass deportation of immigrants that the world has ever seen”.

One day he fights to over tun Roe Vs. Wade because he is Pro Life, then he reverses his position and says it should be left up to local governments to decide this issue. I remember when they called this flip flopping and the media would hound you for it. Despite all of his atrocious comments, flip flops, and contradictions, millions of Americans of all types will still vote for him. I’m pretty sure that the German people did not have any idea that Adolph Hitler was going to become Hitler. For American’s to think that this will never happen in America is crazy. Did they not see how close we got to being overrun by his minions on January 6, 2021?

Donald J. Trump has no scruples, no dignity, and no allegiance to Country, Flag or to God. Has anyone ever known of Donald Trump to be a church goer? I don’t think so – yet he is now a bible salesman ““All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book.”

Trump is the biggest con man ever. But to compare him to P.T. Barnum, as many oft do, is an afront to that savvy showman.  Trump was peddled steaks, sneakers (basketball shoes), telephone services (he was part of a failed multi level marketing platform called ACN videophones), he has sold encyclopedias, and lets not forget the failed Trump University. There are just to many lies, and con jobs to keep track of.

Donald J. Trump has been sued by contractors that have worked for him, Porn Stars and election workers, the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund, the Fulton County, Ga., district attorney’s office, and so many others. Despite all of these short comings many Americans are Blinded by the light, Revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night.

Whew, this is exhausting. But if you send me $59.99 I’ll send you a copy of every anti-Trump rant or rave that I’ve ever written. Act now because this is a limited time offer.
