Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical right-wing, populist, authoritarian ultra nationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.
No one can actually fathom an America functioning under a Fascist regime. But lets not dismiss this notion to quickly. I’m confidant that no one imagined Hitler’s Germany either. Donald Trump’s election in 2016 was in fact a coup d’é·tat. Many Americans did not think, could not even imagine that Donald Trump could actually become president. In fact, aside from his blind minions, no one could believe the election results. Shit, even Donald did not think his campaign would have gone as far as it did, let alone his getting sworn in. But get sworn in he did. Donald J. Trump was now the 45th President of the United States of America.
One of president Trump’s first actions after being sworn in was to ban Muslim travel. This should have been an indicator of the type of government we were to live under. As horrifying as this was, it was just the beginning. The next thing, and the scariest action he took up until that time, was the forming of his cabinet.
President Donald J. Trump’s Initial Cabinet was mostly white males with questionable ideology’s.
Some of the people selected for his cabinet, to head up departments, were diametrically opposed to principals inherent to those departments. For example Betsy Devos, whom he assigned to head up Public Education. She has been a proponent of charter schools, but not just any charter school concept. She advocates an extreme right wing, religious charter school format.
